Hartford, CT: The Associated Construction Company has promoted Kevin McConnell to the position of vice president. In this new capacity, McConnell will continue to be a partner and lead the company’s operations with president Joseph Jankowski.
Since joining Associated Construction in 2021, McConnell has served as the director of pre-construction. In this role, he excelled at problem-solving, conceptual estimating, and budget optimization and was instrumental in landing multi-million-dollar projects.
Jankowski said, “Kevin is a rising star with a forward-thinking, global view and collaborative nature. He broadens his responsibilities, promotes the company culture, and recognizes trends. He has strong business acumen, leads his department, develops career pathways, and participates in strategic planning.”
The firm was founded in 1942 by Angelo Giardini and subsequently taken over by his son Tom Giardini in 1975. Jankowski joined Associated Construction at a young age and quickly earned his position in the line of succession, which continues with McConnell.
Associated Construction has a diverse clientele, including commercial offices, academic, residential, medical, and critical infrastructure such as data centers. McConnell’s promotion will push the company to uphold its longstanding vision of Building the Way to a Better Place.
